The field employee must have some type (customer’s choice) of device, which allows for connection to the Internet. The employee logs onto the site and has access to all data the office has provided to the remote database. He also has the ability to e-mail customers or suppliers as required. The Office can provide new customer or job information through the wireless device via e-mail or web site.
Field features include, amongst others:
- Real-time dispatching of employees, providing job, customer and product information
- Time clock to control time billing
- Create and track requisitions and/or PO's for ordering of materials at the job site from a warehouse and/or supplier (including auto numbering)
- Transmit requisitions and/or PO's to the office or supplier through the web site or wireless communications
- Comparing of materials used at the site vs. materials ordered
- Create numbered electronic work-orders for labor and materials used
- Produce and print copies of work-order on site (optional printer or using customer’s internet connection and equipment)
- On-line service vehicle inventory information, including re-stocking
- View warehouse inventory from job site
- Electronic record of customer's acceptance which will incorporate signature into the work-order
